A kastély pontos építési ideje nem ismert, feltehetően 1850-körül építtette Taródházi Mikos László, barokk stílusban. A tulajdon a Mikos-családról gróf Szapáry Lászlóra szállt. 1895-ben már teljes pompájában állt a mai kastély. 1910-ben a Szapáry-család kénytelen eladni a kastélyt, így a tulajdont Gött Gyula szerezte meg. 1916-ban Gött Gyulától báró Haupt Buchenrode István vásárolja meg, aki 1927-ben átépítteti. 1945-ig a báró tulajdona, mikor Ausztriába menekül, s a kastély bútorzatát is magával viszi. Jelenleg magántulajdon. |
